Dr. Pamela Downey

Dr. Pamela completed her postgraduate training in Denver, Colorado before moving to Calgary. In addition to her role as an active staff member of the Alberta Children’s Hospital and Foothills Medical Centre’s Emergency Departments, she was the Residency Program Director for the Royal College Fellowship training program for six years. Her interest in critical care included over 10 years as a STARS Flight Physician.
The opportunity to join the C-era team back in 2005 offered her a unique environment to explore another side of medicine with assessments and diagnostic skills focused on patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, syncope, palpitations and other related complaints.Dr. Pamela continues her active role as a Medical Director for Advanced Cardiac Life Support courses.
Dr. Pamela’s engagement within the medical community includes:

When not at C-ERA, Dr. Pamela enjoys time with her family who love science, good books, theatre, sports and travel.
