What to Expect

You have been referred to C-era Calgary cardiovascular clinic for further assessment of your chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, abnormal ECG or other reasons related to heart disease.

Your initial visit will be a consultation only. You will not be asked to do a treadmill test during the first visit.

We will gather information about your cardiovascular risk factors, past medical history, family history, and perform a physical assessment including an ECG, blood pressure, height and weight. Please bring your Alberta Health Care card and a list of your medications including dosages.

Based on the results of your initial consultation, you could be scheduled for further investigations or reassured that you are at low risk for heart disease.
