C-era approaches cardiovascular risk evaluation and management from a variety of perspectives, represented by our five divisions.
C-era Clinical
Our clinical practice provides rapid and high quality cardiovascular evaluation for patients with chest pain, abnormal ECGs, or multiple cardiovascular risk factors, referred to us from family physicians, emergency rooms, other specialists or regional programs.
- Over 42,000 patients have been evaluated
- Our team includes 8 consulting specialists including General Internists, Endocrinologists, Emergency Physicians and Cardiologists
- We see 1,200 patients each month, including approximately 500 new patient consultations
C-era Diagnostics
C-era Diagnostics provides non-invasive cardio-diagnostic tools focused on functional, anatomic, pathologic, physiologic and prognostic evaluation.
We facilitate:
- Approximately 350 diagnostic stress tests per month
- 180 nuclear cardiology studies per month
- 100 Holter tests per month
- More than 800 ECG interpretations per month
C-era Education
We are committed to educating patients, the general public, physicians and health professionals about cardiovascular risk factor evaluation and management, atherosclerosis and efficient diagnostic strategies.
- C-era is part of the elective rotation for Family Practice Residents and Alberta International Medical Graduates that have been accepted into a residency program
- We participate in practicums for the Medical Office Assistance program
- We are launching a virtual school in order to educate about cardiovascular risk factors
- C-era physicians regularly share best practices with family physicians and other health care providers
C-era Research
C-era's Research Division evaluates cardiovascular disease and its risk factors, the therapeutic and diagnostic options, as well as its socioeconomic impact through participation in several studies in collaboration with local and national investigators.
C-era Outreach
Our Outreach Division interacts with communities and corporations to identify priorities, quantify cardiovascular risk factors, evaluate the burden of disease and introduce strategies for prevention and management.
- Participation in the ICA-CHAMP study focusing on the Southeast Asian population through community-based screening and evaluation
- Launching C-era's International Division, focused on global best practices and community care in the developing world
